Overview

MIH Media began working with Regina Hurley and her brand Truleaf in 2023. Truleaf is a beauty care brand specialising in CBD-infused skincare products, operating in a highly regulated and restricted advertising space.

Our goal was to build a strong digital foundation, drive online sales, and grow brand awareness while navigating strict platform and advertising policies.

Phase 1: E-commerce Website Development & SEO

We started by building a fully functional e-commerce website from the ground up. This included:

  • Designing and developing the online store

  • Listing and categorising all products

  • Setting up secure payment gateways

  • Optimising the website for SEO best practices

  • Ensuring fast load speed and mobile responsiveness

This phase ensured Truleaf had a scalable, conversion-ready platform capable of supporting long-term growth.

Phase 2: Social Media Growth & Conversions

Once the website was live, we moved into building Truleaf’s social media presence, focusing primarily on Instagram, with Facebook as a secondary platform.

Due to the nature of CBD products, we faced strict content and advertising restrictions, especially around wording, claims, and promotional messaging. To overcome this, we:

  • Carefully adjusted content language to comply with platform policies

  • Focused on education, lifestyle content, and brand storytelling

  • Tested multiple content angles to identify what performed best

  • Gradually scaled what was generating traction and engagement

As performance improved, we doubled down on high-performing content to maximise reach and conversions within compliance limits.

Phase 3: Marketplace Expansion

To further expand Truleaf’s reach, MIH Media assisted in getting the brand listed on Amazon and Takealot. This significantly increased product visibility and opened additional revenue channels beyond the website and social media platforms.
